Clicks Technology is expanding its product line with the introduction of its first smartphone, the Communicator, and a new slide-out keyboard for smart devices, both set to be revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week. The Communicator, priced at $499, is designed as a secondary device for professionals who require a physical keyboard for tasks such as messaging, emailing, and document editing.
The company is targeting users who typically carry two phones, one for work and one for personal use, according to Clicks Technology. The Communicator aims to streamline productivity by offering a physical keyboard and access to essential communication and productivity tools. Unlike typical smartphones, it intentionally omits addictive social media apps and games.
Instead, Clicks Technology partnered with Niagara Launcher, an Android launcher developer, to provide users with access to messaging apps like Gmail, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack. This collaboration focuses on delivering a distraction-free environment optimized for work-related tasks.
In addition to the Communicator, Clicks Technology is launching a $79 slide-out keyboard designed to enhance the functionality of existing smart devices. This accessory aims to provide users with a tactile typing experience, catering to those who prefer the feel of a physical keyboard over touchscreen input.
The introduction of these products signals Clicks Technology's ambition to carve out a niche in the mobile device market by catering to users who prioritize productivity and prefer the functionality of a physical keyboard. The company believes there is a demand for devices that offer a focused and efficient user experience, particularly among professionals who rely heavily on mobile communication and document editing. The company has not yet released information on when the products will be available for purchase.
